SAMPLE  STORYTELLING  PERFORMANCES

Whether telling trickster tales to several hundred children at a school assembly or taking a group of adults in a nursing home to the world beyond the walls of their health care center, Regina engages her audiences with warmth, skill, and her clear love of story. She is happy to design a program for your special occasion.

Regina’s Storytelling Programs for Children and Families

MULTICULTURAL TALES:   Flexible, participatory programs, designed for occasion, age, special needs. These tales from around the world are organized by theme or culture.

TRICKSTER TALES: Rabbit, Monkey, Anansi, Gluscabi, Kanchil….All cultures tell tales of these clever and often stupid Beings who survive the “crocodiles” of life and also their own mistakes.

BILINGUAL PROGRAMS: Latin American stories told in English with a good sprinkling of Spanish…or Spanish, with a good sprinkling of English!

CELEBRATING THE EARTH: Stories and songs which emphasize the interconnection of all life on earth. Perfect for Earth Day … or any day.

Regina’s Stories for Adults and Older Youth

COMPASSION, GENEROSITY, AND GRACE: STORIES FROM 9/11
Regina witnessed both the attack on 9/11 and the outpouring of help and love which followed it. Her stories remind us that love is stronger than hate.

NEW YORK STORIES
Years of being a passionate resident of Greenwich Village have given Regina an eye for character, place, and history. You want NY Stories? Regina has them!

BUTTONS FOR THE RESISTANCE and OTHER LOVE STORIES
Regina wears a red button affirming CHOOSE LOVE. It opens up a lot of conversations. In this multi-genre program, Regina shares stories that explore many forms of love, from romantic to unconditional. eros to agape. As for her CHOOSE LOVE button,  Regina muses, “If someone has a problem with that, they obviously have a problem!”

AND THEN THE VOLCANO ERUPTED
One of Regina’s original stories, And then the Volcano Erupted is a yummy tale that features  a pair of over-many-life-times lovers, sensuous hot springs, an icy waterfall, and a voluptuously erupting volcano. This kind of conjunction of living elements excites the senses and ignites desire. You bet!

The immediacy, intimacy, accessibility and emotional pull of your performance
really struck a chord with folks. They loved you!”

MYTHOLOGY AND EPICS

The Power of the Word (Egyptian) The creation of the world, the gods, and civilization along the Nile.
These stories include love, treachery, and triumph!

Adi, Song of Agan: (Dayak/Borneo) An extraordinary example of oral literature, this great narrative, with its recognizable human relationships and sly humor, is centered on the larger than life hero, Agan, as he faces life’s great challenges--love and death.
You made the beautiful poetry from the Borneo rain forest come alive.”
